All old records have been scrapped and the movie still continues to stride elegantly towards success. The movie features Mammootty in the title role and Sarath Kumar, Manoj K Jayan, Suman, Kanika and Padmapriya are some of the prominent artistes in the movie.
As per trade sources Pazhassi Raja has grossed over five crores from all the major theatres in a record time of nine days. So too the metros in Kerala have recorded nearly forty lakhs. Asianet has purchased the satellite rights of the movie for a whopping 2.6 crores.
